Are you a happy halibut or a boring bass?
This wacky party game Happy Salmon was previously published by another well-known game publisher. The game appeared with slightly different illustrated cards in a rather crazy/unique packaging: namely, a bag in the shape of a fish. Meanwhile, the game appears with the publisher of Exploding Kittens and has illustrations in that style. In Happy Salmon, you try to be the first to clear all the cards from your hand. “How do you do that?” is obviously the first question you ask yourself. Well by being very active!
Each player receives a pile of cards in their color. Each pile contains different types of “activities” that players must perform together with another player to clear their personal pile of cards.
Players play simultaneously and always have a maximum of one card per person turned face up at a time. On that card is one of the following activities: high five, boxing, switching places or happy salmon (slipping your hands like a fish).
During the game, you look for a buddy with the same activity. You perform those as fast as you can, discard the cards and then you start looking for your next card. If you don’t have an activity you can perform, you put it towards the back of your personal pile and then a new card is visible. The players repeat this until one of the players runs out of cards. This player is the winner!
Happy Salmon is a simple and wacky game for strange fish. It is laugh-out-loud hilarious and is basically a kind of ligretto with crazy moves. Perfect for classes, school camps, parties, families and college kids!
