NL: Als een stel woeste vikingen hoopten jullie eervol te sterven en een plekje te bemachtigen in Valhalla. Tijdens jullie tripje naar het hiernamaals sloegen jullie perongeluk de verkeerde richting in en kwamen aan bij de poorten van Helheim. Dat is natuurlijk een foutje dat snel rechtgezet moet worden en jullie haasten je naar Asgard, het rijk van de Goden, om Odin te overtuigen dat er nog een plekje vrij is in Valhalla. Er is slechts plek voor een van de spelers, maar wie? Skip als eerste over de finishlijn in Langskip en de plek in de eeuwige strijdhal van Odin is voor jou!
Langskip is een blufspel waarbij de spelers een beroep moeten doen op de goden om als snelste Asgard te bereiken. Tijdens een beurt speel jij een van de twee kaarten uit je hand en jij vertelt de andere spelers welke kaart jij zojuist hebt gespeeld om zo eventueel het effect van de gekozen kaart toe te passen. Je mag echter bij het benoemen van de kaart glashard liegen! Andere spelers mogen jouw echter betichtten van leugens om jou de wind uit de zeilen te nemen. Indien een speler een andere spel jouw beschuldigd wordt de gespeelde kaart opengedraaid. Had je inderdaad gelogen, dan mag je niet de eigenschap van de benoemde kaart toepassen de de beschuldigende speler krijgt een mischief fiche. Sprak de speler de waarheid, dan gaat de beschuldigende speler achteruit op het spelbord en krijgt de actieve speler een fiche. Met speciale eigenschappen van kaarten kun je jouw positie op het spelbord beïnvloeden. Door mischief fiches te gebruiken, kun je deze acties verbeteren. Zodra een speler het einde van het bord bereikt, heeft deze speler Asgard bereikt en het spel gewonnen. Een plekje in Valhalla wacht!
Langskip is een grappig blufspelletje met een een leuke twist. Doordat je de effecten van de kaarten die je benoemd toepast (in plaats van de gespeelde kaarten), kun je het spel en de andere spelers op een leuke wijze manipuleren. Het spel speelt vlot en een potje bluffen is natuurlijk altijd leuk. Dit spelletje verschijnt snel op Kickstarter. Hou Crab Studios goed in de gaten als je zin hebt in een nieuw spelletje waarbij je lekker mag bluffen en liegen.
EN: As fierce vikings, you hoped to die with honour and gain a place in Valhalla. On your journey to the afterlife, you accidentally took a wrong turn and arrived at the gates of Helheim. That is a mistake that must be corrected quickly and you rush to Asgard, the realm of the Gods, to convince Odin that there is still a place available in Valhalla. There is only room for one of the players, but who? Be the first to skip across the finish line in Langskip and the spot at Odin’s feasting table in the eternal battle hall is yours!
Langskip is a bluffing game in which the players have to appeal to the gods to be the first to reach Asgard. During a turn, you play one of two cards (the gods) from your hand and you tell the other players which card you just played in order to apply the effect of the chosen card. However, you may, lie when calling out which of the cards you played to deceit the other players! Be wary as the other players may accuse you of bluffing to take the wind out of your sails. If a player accuses another player, the card played is turned face up. If you indeed lied, you may not apply the characteristics/effects of the called out card and the accusing player receives a mischief token. If the player told the truth, the accusing player moves backwards on the game board and the active player receives a token. With special properties of cards you can influence your position on the game board. By using mischief tokens, you can improve these actions. As soon as a player reaches the end of the board, this player has reached Asgard and won the game. A place in Valhalla awaits!
Langskip is a funny bluffing game with a nice twist. Because you apply the effects of the cards you say you played (instead of the cards played), you can manipulate the game and the other players in a fun way.
