Your Village People is not about construction workers, firemen, policemen and other colorful men singing about a global youth organization, but about a bunch of talented and magical villagers embroiled in a magical battle. Incidentally, these villagers are also immensely colorful and all possess unique powers for battle. YVP was developed by Babafemi Fagbemi and Timeyin Gordon and will soon be released on Kickstarter.
In this fast-paced card game, players have two choices each turn: take a card or play a card. The goal: be the only one to survive the battle by playing cards. Each card has a unique power (except the cat) that players can use to drain other players’ life force, block attacks, acquire cards or regain life force.
YVP can be explained in less than a minute, and the game takes no longer than ten minutes in most cases. The game is easy to explain and easy to play. The cards and characters are colorful and players can have a good time tricking each other.
