I’ve been playing Cosmoctopus and let me start by saying that I didn’t know this was a Cthulhu game!!! I’ve seen it around on Instagram a lot but I had no idea!!! Why didn’t anyone tell me 😂

In Cosmoctopus you’re basically trying to summon Cthulhu (the Great Inky One) because you’re one of his worshippers. I found this be a very interesting spin on most Cthulhu games where you’re trying to keep him in his slumber.
I really enjoy the theme of this game and you can tell it’s been made with care. The gameplay reminded me of Space Park which is a solo game I love!!

I did find the game to take quite long with very repetitive turns which I didn’t enjoy. They do have a shorter version of the game which is what I ended up playing the most. That way the game didn’t take as long!! I would gravitate towards Space Park more if I had to choose between the two.

The Solo AI is very easy to control which I always appreciate! You can adjust difficulty according to your play preference.
Overall I think the game is not for me but I had a fun time playing it and trying it out!! Below you will find my solo playthrough of the game.
