Will all the greedy geckos, chewing chameleons, licking lizards, slurping salamanders and bunking bearded dragons gather for a party? Not just any party, but a pizza party with Dizzy Lizzy – best known for the living card game of the same name. Dizzy Lizzy Pizza Party!
Dizzy Lizzy Pizza Party is a new game concept from the creator of Dizzy Lizzy. Similar illustrations and aimed at the same target group, but different gameplay. By the way, just as smooth.
Like Dizzy Lizzy, Pizza Party has several game modes, but the core is always insects and pizza. In both the appetizer and the main course, each player secretly receives an insect card (or two if you want to make it a little more complex). If you have these insects on your pizza, you score points.
In the appetizer, you try to snag pizza points as quickly as possible that you would like to add to your pizza to earn points. The main course revolves around action cards that players flip open to then negotiate for pizza points, steal pizza points or perform other actions. There are also multiple side dishes to sample and flip the game.
As with Dizzy Lizzy, there are many options for additional game variations, making Pizza Party also feel like a sandbox with lots of possibilities, and I’m curious to see what side dishes might appear next.
Shifting Shapes gave us the opportunity to test a prototype of Dizzy Lizzy Pizza Party. Please note that te rules, artwork and not even the gameplay is finalized at this stage.
