Review: Cross Clues (Blue Orange Games) – English

The cooperative Cross Clues is a new party game from Blue Orange Games and Geronimo Games. In Cross Clues, players collectively try to fill in all the coordinates on a grid by giving each other clues with the words placed open on the table. How many coordinates do you have correct?

In Cross Clues, players place a grid on the table where different coordinates (cards) can be placed. Players place x-number of letters and numbers (tiles) on the table depending on the level of difficulty. Under the tiles they randomly place different words with which players can give each other clues. In turn, players draw cards with coordinates (a combination between a letter and a number) and try to give a clue with the two corresponding words to the other players so that they can guess the correct location of the coordinate. If they are correct, the coordinate is placed in the grid. If they are wrong, the coordinate is put away blind. When all coordinates have been played the game is over. Depending on how many coordinates are correct, players receive a score. How well are you aligned?

Cross Clues is a cooperative party game that is somewhat similar to Codenames and So Clover but offers enough surprise. As in the aforementioned games, players try to reach the correct solution based on clues based on words. Cross Clues plays very fast and for a party game it is surprisingly fun with fewer players and even with two players it is enormously entertaining.
